Privacy Policy

1. What We Collect
Tensor Health collects only the data you provide directly:
- Medication & supplement names – substances you add to your regimen.
- Allergies – allergen names and severity ratings you enter.
- Dose logs – timestamps of doses you mark as taken or skipped.
- Sleep data – bedtime and wake events, sourced from Apple HealthKit with your permission or entered manually. This data stays on your device and in Apple's encrypted storage; we read it only to compute medication schedules.
- Pill bottle photos – images you scan to extract medication names. These are processed transiently (sent to our OCR service, never stored on our servers).
- Account credentials – email address or phone number used to sign in via Firebase Authentication.
We do not collect: precise location, contacts, browsing history, crash reports, or advertising identifiers.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To generate your personalized medication schedule.
- To detect potential drug–drug interactions using our knowledge graph.
- To answer your questions about medications via the Tensor Health Insight chat.
3. Third-Party Services
- Google Vertex AI (Gemini) – processes medication names, chat questions, and pill bottle images to provide AI-powered insights. Data is sent to Google's servers in
us-central1. Google's Data Processing Addendum applies.
- Firebase Authentication (Google) – manages sign-in. Stores your email or phone number.
- Neo4j AuraDB (Neo4j / Google Cloud) – stores your medication list, dose history, and allergy data in a hosted graph database in
us-central1.
- Apple HealthKit – accessed only on iOS, only with your explicit permission. Apple's Privacy Policy governs HealthKit data.
We do not use analytics SDKs, crash-reporting SDKs, or advertising networks.
4. Data Retention
Your data is retained while your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from Profile → Delete Account within the app. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.
5. Security
All data in transit is encrypted with TLS 1.2+. Data at rest is encrypted by the underlying cloud providers (Google Cloud, Neo4j AuraDB).
6. Children
Tensor Health is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Changes to This Policy
We will update the effective date and notify you in-app if we make material changes.
